Deposit and cancellation policy

How the deposit and cancellations work for safaris and excursions booked with Abdull Safari Kenya: non-refundable deposit, balance paid in cash on site.

Updated on August 27, 2026

1. Deposit policy

The deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel, you do not owe the balance. If we cancel, the deposit is refunded in full.

The deposit confirms your booking and covers the costs already committed to arrange it. The rest of the price (the balance) is paid in cash on site: if you cancel, nothing is asked of you beyond the deposit already paid.

2. If you cancel

  • Safaris and excursions: no refund of the deposit, whatever the notice given. The balance is not due.
  • No-show: the deposit is lost and the service is treated as delivered.
  • You can always ask us to move the date: whenever the Tour Operator has availability we reschedule at no extra cost, keeping the deposit already paid valid. This is our standard practice rather than a contractual right.

3. If we cancel

If the Tour Operator has to cancel the service for their own reasons, we offer you a new date or an equivalent service; if that does not suit you, you receive a full refund of the deposit.

4. Force majeure

In the event of exceptional circumstances that make the service impossible (natural disasters, park closures, travel restrictions, weather or safety conditions for boat trips) we offer an alternative date; if that is not practicable, the deposit is refunded in full.

5. How refunds work

Refunds provided for on this page are issued within 14 days of the cancellation notice, using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. How to request a cancellation

Write to info@abdullsafarikenya.com quoting your quote or booking reference. The date of receipt of the request applies.
